Aviator Ear

Hee!  Not that much of anyone reads this (Brad? Mom?), but just in case: This blogging platform, called Vox, is closing down at the end of the month. Which is REALLY EXCITING for me because I have a Vox t-shirt that will now be a collectors item! (Seriously, Six Apart, if you have any old Vox t-shirts sitting around, YOU KNOW WHERE TO FIND ME AND i AM HAPPY TO TAKE THEM OFF YOUR HANDS.)

eve.vox.com was my personal blog home for a little more than 6 years, which is a long time!  I will miss it, but I get why it's going away.

So, here's what I did:

I archived posts from eve.vox.com over here at eveb.posterous.com. I have been meaning to try the Posterous platform out since I saw how Violet was using it, so it's nice to have a chance to do it.  The export took care of all my posts and all my photos, which was nice! I haven't decided what new stuff I'll put up there.

I also exported my photos to my flickr account, even though a lot of them were probably there already.  But GOD FORBID I lose a single photo of a pet.

My personal blog (if you can call it that?) is here at eveb.tumblr.com. Mom, Brad, anyone else who reads my sporadic updates?  That's where I am.

Several folks have asked me if they should move their vox blog to Six Apart's free Typepad service, and I've told all of them "sure!" The only reason I didn't is because I spend 12 hours a day using a Six Apart product, working on the SF Appeal, and I want to be able to play around with other platforms on my off hours.

So, thanks again to my pals at Six Apart for 6 lovely years of  vox.  I had a great time, and I'm totally serious about those t-shirts.
